The Conroe Independent School District sent a letter home with students Wednesday after a Conroe High School student was treated for a staph infection, FOX 26 News reported.

Conroe ISD spokeswoman Kathy Clark said the incident is isolated, although there are two other cases pending as doctors wait for test results.

Clark said none of the students were diagnosed with the staph infection called MRSA, which is difficult to treat with antibiotics, and said school officials instructed students on the importance of washing and keeping their hands clean.
