It is also thought that the product could be effective against the hospital superbug, which is thought to infect 300,000 and kill 5,000 patients every year.
The Hospital Infection Laboratory in Birmingham also tested on Activ8.
Director Adam Fraise said: "Our tests demonstrate that this product is effective on MRSA within one minute of impact, reducing the number of live MRSA organisms by more than 100,000 times."
