AN INSPIRATIONAL 17-year-old Woolwich girl with cystic fibrosis has been shortlisted for a national award for her achievements.
Emma Boniface, from Shooters Hill, is among 24 young nominees due to attend the star-studded Breathing Life Awards, organised by the Cystic Fibrosis Trust, tomorrow.
The awards are to celebrate the exceptional achievements, in sport, the arts, the community and academia, of young people with the life-threatening disease.
Despite coping with her condition and contracting MRSA, Emma has always kept her spirits high.
In addition to studying beauty therapy at Shooters Hill Post-16 Campus she works voluntarily at King’s College Hospital, Denmark Hill, to promote understanding between patients and staff.
