Pickerington Ridgeview Junior High School officials were informed Monday a student has been diagnosed with the staph infection methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA).
The student was under the care of a physician and able to return to school.
The district has been proactive with cleaning classrooms, bathrooms and common areas on a daily basis. The cleaning products used by our custodians kill 99.9 percent of germs associated with many illnesses, including MRSA.
