Sports cleaning a growing business

When Rich and Candace MacNeil started their own business, the first thing they did was come up with the cutesy catchphrase — "Take the bugs out of your game."

But the pair are more than serious when it comes to the service they provide. Three weeks ago they took a $15,500 plunge and purchased a Sani-Sport machine. Now, using the product for their Sani-Pro business, the Cambridge couple has become sports equipment executioners, killing the bacteria that collects in everything from shoulder pads to skates.

No big deal, right? Wrong.

The Phoenix Coyotes Josh Gratton, San Jose Sharks Joe Thornton, Boston Celtics Paul Pierce, Toronto Blue Jays Alex Rios and Ty Taubenheim, four members of the 2006 Cleveland Browns and 10 members of the 2003 St. Louis Browns have joined the ever-growing list of athletes who have suffered from staph infections, or even worse, Methicillin Resistant Staphylococcus Aureus (MRSA), a serious form of staph infection that is immune to most antibiotics.

Sani-sport really is kind of a joke. The gas just works once and then the smell & germs come right back. I would use the machine that is endorsed by Wayne Gretzky’s dad. It actually uses water and several detergents to sanitize and wash out all of the bacteria and pathogens.

Sani-Sport system is the perferd supplier of the NHL, So if Kevin looked further into the Sani-Sport process he would see it is far from a joke

ESPN “Outside the Lines”, featured a company that treated the Milwaukee Bucks, Cleveland Browns, Miami Heat…etc. with a antimicrobial coating that was sprayed to locker rooms, training rooms, weight rooms, synthetic turf, and other that is suppose to prevent bacteria, mold and fungus from living on these surfaces.

The Sani Sport system is a joke. They use harmful ozone gas that is a health risk to both user and purchasor. Please go to http://www.epa.gov and do an ozone search. I think you will find a reason not to use ozone for cleaning.
