A multimillion dollar grant has been awarded to University of Nebraska Medical Center researchers to investigate MRSA, an antibiotic-resistant “super bug.” The study will focus on how staphylococcus strains like MRSA infect humans. The research team has more than $11 million to fund its work. It was the only institution to receive the National Institutes of Health grant.
